The Hurt Locker is coming on DVD soon and let me tell you…it is worth every single penny. fo realz!
Here is a summary: The Hurt Locker is a 2009 American war thriller directed by Kathryn Bigelow. The film follows a United States Army EOD team during the Iraq War. The story was written by Mark Boal, a freelance writer who was embedded with a bomb squad. It stars Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, and Brian Geraghty as members of a U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit in Iraq and follows their tour together as they contend with defusing bombs, the threat of insurgency, and the tension that develops between them.
Its pretty hardcore.
and here are the 5 things I learned from watching this movie.
5. If you are a recognizable actor and you find your self in the movie hurt locker expect your character to be shot or blown up with in the first 6 minutes of your intro.
Hey every body I am Ralph Fiennes I was in Schindler’s List in this movie I will be playing…BAM…oh crap I’m dead already.
4. No matter Where you are in Iraq…theres a bomb 3 feet a way.

pictured: Bombs…lots of them.
3. the giant cushioned bomb squad suits are lame and you should totally disarm giant bombs wearing just a T shirt
2. If someone in Iraq asks you where your from, is talking on a cell phone, or owns a video camera…you’re gonna get blown up.
1. All the running away from explosion scenes in all the Michael Bay movies ever made will never be as cool as the one in the beginning of The Hurt Locker.
BOOM BABY!
So yeah! January 12th buy this, blast the speakers, and enjoy the ride.
