If you haven’t heard of the band OK GO, your missing out. They’ve made some of the most impressive and original music videos on the internet. OK GO’s video’s are so good that they made a name for themselves pretty much solely through youtube and without signing with any record company.
This is the infamous Rube Goldberg machine done too their song “This Too Shall Pass”:
Here is the same song but done as a marching band, it’s pretty friggin sweet:
This is their first big video, a choreographed dance to their song “Here it goes again. The twist is the whole dance is done on treadmills:
This is their latest video to the song “End Love.” They mess with a lot of fast forwarding and slow motion in this video and it is extremely impressive it must have took them forever to shoot it and its like nothing I’ve seen before:

In the past few months I have been following a digital journalist from CBS3. Her name is Nicole Brewer. Back in February, I went thorugh a 6 week program with KYW. We had meetings 4 times during those 6 weeks where we had roundtable discussions with famous news anchors and newspaper editors. Our first roundtable was a digital round table and Nicole was part of that discussion of how she uses Facebook, Twitter, and Video to promote her What’s Brewing segment on CBS3. She is a very knowledgeable woman who can get attention from people all over Philly by just updating her Facebook and asking people to comment to get their feedback. It works!! She posted a topic on July 14th at 5:17am and by 5:22 she already had a response. This is how well her feedback is showing.
Here is a small excerpt from her bio on CBS3’s website:
“In addition to providing original web content for both cbs3.com and cwphilly.com, she is also an on-air contributor to Eyewitness News on CBS 3 and The CW Philly, hosting Morning Chatter, a segment that tracks viewer reaction to hot topics via Facebook, Twitter and the stations’ websites. Brewer also manages the “What’s Brewing” section on cbs3.com which provides an electronic home for her work.”
Nicole Brewer – this is a short video clip that she posted on her facebook when she went to Citizen’s Bank Ball Park. Check it out!!

Many teens these days believe that when they grow up and get ready to start their own life, they will be financially wealthy. Maybe even wealthier than their parents. Sometimes you can’t get what you want and you have work harder than you ever dreamed of. Every teenager can work hard now so they are not strapped for cash in the future.

There are many things to think about. One main thing to think of is college. I’m sure most of you are looking forward to going to college so that should be one thing that gets you motivated to save as much money as possible. Another thing that you need to think of is a car and car insurance. Everything in your daily life is going to cost you big time and it won’t hurt to start getting ready now. A major step would be opening up a savings account and we have the perfect account for teenagers. Check out the rest of our website for information on our flipside account

Last Friday the 23rd, LOR played a great show at the mall. This is the most unique band I’ve seen so far. They play epic almost medieval rock, and it’s awesome. I was really impressed by how complex and full they’re original songs were. Here they are:
Check back tomorrow for the other band that played on the 23rd

There are always ways to save a little money, whether it be while you shop or saving up for your rainy day fund. There are many tips for saving money. It could be as easy as putting 50 cents away a day, or using your checking or savings account to see what you’ve purchased and consider what you could stop spending money. If you are ever thinking about buying an expensive item you should wait at least 24 hours to see if you really do want this particular item. Most people spend their money and don’t realize how much they are actually spending. It all adds up and at the end of the month you may have spent more than you actually have. You can always shop clearance too! Some stores have clearance on things you’ve been wanting for months!

This past weekend was the annual Comic Con, and there have been a few big announcements for Xbox users.
First, the price for Xbox’s KINECT has been unveiled; it is $150 and comes with the game “Kinect Adventures”
Halo fans are in for a treat. There were a few big halo announcements this weekend. First is that Halo’s Firefight mode will now be versus. Two players can play as elites and try to kill of the other 2 spartan players before the time runs out. At the end of the round, players switch sides, and at the end of the match, who ever scores the most points wins. The second announcement is that there will be a Halo Reach/Xbox Console bundle for $399. This includes the new Xbox 360 slim with a custom Halo finish, 2 controllers, a headset, and Halo Reach.
The third and most exciting Halo announcement was Reach’s upgraded forge feature and map “Forge World.” Forge world is one giant map, way bigger than any previous map made of of 5 main locations: a gulch (Blood Gulch from Halo:CE), and island, and interior Colosseum, a tall rock island, and a mountaintop. There’s really no way for me to put into words how awesome it is, just watch the video:
This Wednesday, the Xbox Live Arcade will be getting a new racing game called “Hydro Thunder Hurricane.” Check out the trailer for it. It looks like a lot of multilayer fun, and like an awesome racing game I that reminds me of my younger days. Hydro Thunder will throw you back 1200 Microsoft Points ($15 dollars).
In other video game news, long awaited “Starcraft II” will be coming out this Tuesday, July 27th.
