Well its that special time of year were hollywood shows us all the trailers for the awesome movies they got coming out next year. and the last two weeks we got tons of trailers attached to big named franchises with big budgets. What movie do you think will reign supreme and gain the most money?

First up we got The Hobbit prequel to the LOTR franchise. They are filming this and the second hobbit back to back. The Budget for both is $500M!

Next up we finally get to see the trailer for the new installment in the Batman Trilogy Dark Knight Rises! Budget $250m

It seems like Bryan Singer is trying to cash in on the whole action style fariy tale that everyone else is doing. Theres no reported budget for it but here is Jack the Giant Killer.

Oh hey remember that crappy Clash of the Titans remake no one liked…well its got a sequel now. I can’t find a budget for this but the last movie had a $125M budget and grossed over $490M worldwide so it will probably be about the same or more budget wise.

Speaking of sequels no one wanted here is Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengance. The last movie had a budget of $110M and grossed over $200M. they cut the budget on this one to $70m! EEEK! Will it bomb or be a surprise hit?

G.I. Joe Retaliation had a bit of a tough production. Only 4 actors from the first movie are returning and almost all the joes from the first are gone. What was the studio to do? Hire the extremely likable Dwayne Johnston Ray Stevens and Bruce Willis THATS WHAT!

Apparently people liked the first Expendables? Why would anyone spend $100M on a sequel? Oh Chuck Norris is in it….never mind…..Im gonna watch.

It seems Sasha Baron Cohen has run out of his stock of whacky characters and was forced to make up a new one. Who knows if it will work.

Heres the new German Trailer for The Avengers featuring new footage. lets hope with 5 movies leading up to it and a $250M budget this one will succeed.

after the last 2 or 3 embarrassing Alien Films Ridley Scott returns to give us a prequel to Alien which might not have any aliens in it. Here is Prometheus

I don’t know if this movie will bomb but I hope it does.

Anyone who owns a car knows what it is like to have a really bad problem at a really bad time. Take me for instance, Christmas is Sunday and today I just picked up my car from the mechanic after a couple issues that have passed. Here’s what happened.

It stinks! This couldn’t be in the worst timing! This is why it is extremely important to save everyone, to help bail you out in a situation like this. Unfortunately for me, I blew my savings in Vegas not 2 weeks ago. So now I’m hittin up the bank of Mom and Dad. Though loaning from them I do not have interest to pay back, I will never hear the end of “Just remember when…”.

My New Years resolution is to never EVER need to borrow money ever again. I am not back to school until September so I intend on working as much as I can until then. Happy Holidays everyone!

So after years using the internet and killing an unprecedented amount of time that should have been used a little more productively, I discovered one of my favorite websites ever.

“Reddit is a social news website where the registered users submit content, in the form of either a link or a text “self” post. Other users then vote the submission “up” or “down,” which is used to rank the post and determine its position on the site’s pages and front page.” That’s the quote I copied from Wikipedia because it’s explained perfectly. It’s a very simple website and extremely addicting. It’s also very educational under most subforums where you can learn about science, politics, and other things. I slowly realized though…reddit is a more simple form of Facebook. I know this because look at both sites, Facebook is a large social networking platform where people share pictures, videos, and general thoughts that are either liked or commented on by fellow users. Reddit is a large social news platform where people share pictures, videos and general thoughts/questions that are upvoted/downvoted or commented on by fellow users. The difference is Facebook has too many useless features and contains too much personal information, while reddit on the other hand asks for little to no personal information such as your email to register for the site. There are also many people that use reddit without an account, as I did for a short time.

So in reality, reddit is just a way more educated and simpler version of Facebook. The biggest difference is people post stupid and pointless things on Facebook and no one corrects them. Actually, their friends might even agree with their pointless post. For example, Rebecca will update her status: “OMGGGzz i’M sooo bored”, her best friend Rachel will comment. “i noesssss!!!!”

Now…on reddit, Rebecca will post: “OMGGGzz i’M sooo bored” and be downvoted and belittled into oblivion because of her stupidity and non-contributing brain. In my opinion, a much better choice. But obviously I’ll still continuing wasting my time on both websites.

My family and I celebrate Christmas, and every year on Christmas morning we have our own tradition. When my sister and I were younger, we both were awake super early begging our parents to get out of bed so we could open our presents. Everyone knows that as the years go on things change, and we are no exception to that rule. Seeing how now-a-days it’s our parents that are dragging our butts out of bed on Christmas morning.

After the Twenty minute struggle with gravity to step out of our beds, we finally gather around our overly decorated fake tree and begin our exchange. Following that, my sister and I have our good friends come over and my Mom makes all of us breakfast as we sit and talk about all the previous Christmas’s we have shared together.

This year however, we are celebrating Christmas in a new neighborhood and in our new home. We didn’t let that come between our tradition though. Our tree is still mostly a clutter of decorations with just a small portion of actual tree showing, presents are limited however, that is not what Christmas is about for us, and last but not least, our friends are still making the trip over here for breakfast. To many of you I’m sure this means nothing, but this is my Christmas. What is your Holiday like?

Sorry about the late blog everyone but I had a very long and interesting day.

This morning after oversleeping I went over to my doctors office to get a shot/vaccine I needed so I can’t contract anything to my new nephew. That’s right, I’m an uncle! My sister had her first baby this past week and I finally got a chance to meet him today. What a height difference…but he is still adorable. He’s extremely tiny, only weighed 6 pounds 1 oz. After I received my shot and went straight downtown for a job interview at a social media company, which went extremely well. I look really good in a suit, but I digress.

After the interview I helped my friend move out of her apartment into a new one on Spring Garden street. A word of advice, don’t move out on a Friday downtown. It took 3 trips back and forth to squeeze everything into my car, which is not that big. But after hours of illegal parking and carrying heavy boxes up 3 flights of stairs…I’m proud to say I did not receive a ticket! Wow was I surprised..and very happy. I recently got home and had an awesome dinner. It was probably awesome because I had only eaten a bag of Combos and a handful of Lucky Charms. Not a good idea. So I finally had a chance to write this blog and to say if a friend asks you to help them move, do it….if they offer you money.

Every college student should consider having that all-important “Party Fund” for emergency party situations.
