The Grass is Greener on the other Tuna Salad.

Today I wanted to eat tuna salad, but I wanted to find a healthier alternative than using mayo. Instead I chose to mix in an avocado with the tuna, and it was a complete success. D-licous! I decided to make a open face sandwich out of it:

GUAC’IN TUNA ON YOUR OPEN FACE

Here’s what you’ll need to make the sandwich:

> 1 can of tuna fish

> 1 avocado

> 1 tomato

> 2 slices of whole wheat bread

The construction is very simple. Lay down the slices of bread on a plate. Slice up some tomato and place it on top of the bread. Mix the avocado and the can of tuna together in a bowl, then lay it across the top of the tomato. Manfico! It should look something like this when you’re done:

I was very full after eating the sandwich, so this could probably feed 2 people if you wanted to. Well there you go, a great healthy lunch!

Clear Network

Friday, July 9, 2010
0 Comments so far.

Need cheaper internet but also crave those lightning fast speeds? Me too. And although that seems like a stretch I have discovered a way to make it possible. The CLEAR network.

CLEAR is the first network built for your on-the-move life

With speeds 4x as fast as 3G* in virtually every corner in your city, CLEAR is designed with the internet in mind. With blazing 4G network gives your laptops and desktops the speed and access they need to really deliver. That’s why it’s the ultimate connection.

Click to play video
How is it different from what I have
How isn’t it different? Today’s 3G networks were built for making phone calls. But Clear was created for the internet. That means you’ll have loads of 4G bandwidth wherever you are. So whether you’re downloading movies, uploading videos or streaming games, you can do it all ridiculously fast.
What can I do with it
Everything you’ve always dreamed about doing on the internet that the slow drip of 3G makes so painful. Watch live soccer from Europe, from your kids soccer game in Seattle. Email ginormous presentations from the road in seconds without having to pay for a mega-grande just to get a connection. Download a video of that conference you couldn’t attend in the middle of a trainload of commuters. With this kind of speed you can do it all.
What does it cost
The name is CLEAR and so is the pricing. It offers combined mobile and home plans, home only plans, and voice plans starting at $30 a month. There are no tricks and no surprises. All you get is a connection 4x the speed of 3G* for the same price as a ball and chain connection from your phone or cable company.
Where can I use CLEAR
When you have CLEAR, you have a connection wherever you are in your city. Use it at home. Fire it up on the road. No more searching for wi-fi hotspots where you’re fighting with 20 other people for bandwidth. CLEAR goes places wi-fi can’t get close to.
Is CLEAR Reliable?
Because CLEAR covers virtually everywhere in your city, you don’t experience the same hassle of finding a hotspot or watching minutes and minutes for a spinning ball to download, or upload, or simply stream your video. How much of your life have you lost to that?
So obviously the answer is CLEAR. Why spend so much money on internet when you get get it for a fraction of the price?

Internet Safety

Tuesday, July 6, 2010
0 Comments so far.

I have a few questions for you. Do you use the internet? More specifically do you post anything online? Well, my buddies Phineas and Ferb have something to say about that. You gotta be careful out there and remember…always think before you post.

Did you know…

  • Everything you do online takes place in front of a huge number of strangers?
  • What you post online can be copied, changed, and sent to other people?
  • There are no secrets online?
  • You’re leaving a permanent (and searchable) record any time you post something?
YouTube Preview Image

There are some very important things that you need to keep in mind when you’re on your computer at home or at school.

  • First, remember never to give out personal information such as your name, home address, school name, or telephone number in a chat room or on bulletin boards. Also, never send a picture of yourself to someone you chat with on the computer without your parent’s permission.

  • Never write to someone who has made you feel uncomfortable or scared.

  • Do not meet someone or have them visit you without the permission of your parents.

  • Tell your parents right away if you read anything on the Internet that makes you feel uncomfortable.

  • Remember that people online may not be who they say they are. Someone who says that “she” is a “12-year-old girl” could really be an older man.

So remember to be careful on the internet and teach those around you to be safe too.

Pool vs Beach

Monday, July 5, 2010
0 Comments so far.

Would you rather swim in a pool with chlorinated water or would you like to go down the shore and swim in the salty ocean water?  Of course one of the main debates is the cost.  If the pool that you choose to swim in is your very own you might have a large amount of expenses to pay for.  On the other hand, if you go down to the shore you can either go down for the day, which would usually be free for you, or you can rent a room at a motel or even rent a house.  This would cost you money as well.  So I guess that this question is mostly going to be based on personal attraction to either the pool or the ocean.

Pool :)

pool

A pool like this is no doubt a pleasure to lounge in.  In fact having a pool in your back yard is a great way to end a hard days work or start a hot day out.  You can enjoy it with friends if you choose and have plenty of pool parties during the summer.

Ocean :)

beach

Or you can enjoy sitting on the beach looking out to the horizon.  It can be a great vacation for you and even your family.  It might not be the same at sitting in the luxury of your own backyard, but if you ever get bored of the same old scenery taking a day to go to the beach is a lovely getaway!

Which one would you prefer?

Downtime

Thursday, July 1, 2010
0 Comments so far.

What do you do on during any downtime that you have.  Whether you are working 60 hours a week, going to school, or both there are always crazy things happening during your everyday life.  Most of the time they are events that you don’t plan, therefore they make your life more hectic than need be.  So when you have nothing going on in your life and you finally get a chance to relax what do you do.  You could invite friends over for movie night, or take a day to yourself to unwind.  You could also take a spa day to keep yourself refreshed.  Sometimes in my downtime I read a book or play a computer game. You can even listen to music.   When things are super busy and I just need a moment to breathe I enjoy just sitting and watching a good movie.  What are some things that you do during your downtime?
