Our eigth applicant is Kelsey from Levittown, PA!

About Kelsey : I am 16 years old. I am in 11th grade at Pennsbury High School. Go Falcons! I am planning on attending college for a career in Speech Pathology, a goal that I have a deep desire to fulfill. I try to keep myself busy through my schoolwork, dancing, job, and friends and family. I have been dancing for 13 years and I’m on the competition team at my dance studio. I’m also the parliamentarian of the FCCLA-Family Career and Community Leaders of America, being in charge of coordinating all meetings, as well as planning events. I work at CiCi’s Pizza Buffet and enjoy the job because I have the opportunity to meet so many new people, something I’ve always been comfortable with. Although I’m no master in video editing software, I know that I have the quick learning mentality, along with a broad spectrum of skills to guarantee my success. I have an affinity for public speaking, (or so I’ve been told)… I know how to get people’s attention and help others understand any topic at hand. Overall, I enjoy being around people. I am fun, outgoing, and very easy to get along with. I feel my personality and my go-getting attitude will be perfect for Project Flipside.
Kelsey’s Blog : Fast Food “Phony” Why is it that Fast food restaurants always have commercials or advertisements that showcase the complete opposite of the truth? This has always bugged me. The commercial burgers are always perfectly cooked and all the toppings and condiments are put on just right. Or how about the chicken…How perfectly crispy it is? I mean seriously…come on! Reality Check! You pull up to the drive through window, and they give you what you ordered. Suddenly you’re opening your bag to find your food and what do you see? A pile of mush! What happened to that appetizing burger? I find this very humorous. Most people know that the advertisements for these places are skewed, but still continue to get the food anyways. On that note, there must be some element of addiction to it…because I know I sure do it. After all, for two to three dollars, that pile of mush tastes pretty good! So am I crazy or what??
