About Chase : So before I started to write a long and complicated intro, I sat down and debated on what to write. Do I tell you who I am? What I stand for? Maybe I tell you about my love life, or lack-there-of. I wasn’t sure what to tell you, or where to start. In the mist of all this contemplation the thought occurred to me, “why do I need to explain my previous escapades in life?” Do you care that I’m a waiter at a local diner, or that I graduated from Bensalem High School ‘09? I mean honestly, if you are reading this, we can only assume that you are hopelessly mired in the life of Chase. Whether you are reading this out of boredom or of interest, the thoughts arise, are you a close personal friend? A family member? A secret crush, or just a person interested in my life? Don’t be ashamed. It happens. Maybe you’re obsessed with my love life. Who’s the current girlfriend? Where l plan to attend college? Perhaps, and this is a pretty long shot, but perhaps you have existential dreams about me and want to look into the dreams that I have been having and check to see if you were mentioned in mine. Whatever the reason, you are here. And in the end, that’s all that counts. So pull up a chair (If you aren’t sitting in one already), and read on as my life unfolds through this handy checklist I have conveniently laid out for your viewing pleasures.

Chase’s Blog : In this day and age it’s very difficult to come up with a compelling story that will grab the attention of children, adults, and Oprah’s Book Club. When was the last time you sat down and read a good book? Whether it was fantasy, horror, romance, or even a picture book, it’s very likely that some studio has tried to turn it into the next major motion picture. However, these big-screen projects come with a potential disappointment. If you were to ask any reader who has had the pleasure of experiencing their favorite novel in IMAX or on Blu-Ray you’ll discover that the most common response will usually be, “The book was better.” But what gears the demographic to be so biased to the movies in which hundreds of people have worked on solely for the audience’s entertainment? The answer, my friends, is imagination. When reading a book, we have the ability to become so engrossed in the story line that our mind’ s eye can virtually create a picture perfect world that no special effects can even compare to. The feelings that we get become so dramatically intense and realistic that not even the best editing equipment could even bear a striking resemblance to what we have stashed away in our mental filing cabinet. So what’s stopping people from lying around in bed and reading “a good book” on a slow “blustery day”, as Pooh Bear used to say, instead of renting a movie? The answer is time. In reality it takes much longer for an individual to sit down and escape into an alternate reality then it does to pop a movie into your VCR or whatever crazy piece of technology you kids are using nowadays. With time being a major factor (as well as commitment), we are naturally drawn to the easy way out. It’s no doubt that this will influence our decision to make a minor commitment of a couple hours vs. the possibility of several days.
