This past weekend was the annual Comic Con, and there have been a few big announcements for Xbox users.
First, the price for Xbox’s KINECT has been unveiled; it is $150 and comes with the game “Kinect Adventures”
Halo fans are in for a treat. There were a few big halo announcements this weekend. First is that Halo’s Firefight mode will now be versus. Two players can play as elites and try to kill of the other 2 spartan players before the time runs out. At the end of the round, players switch sides, and at the end of the match, who ever scores the most points wins. The second announcement is that there will be a Halo Reach/Xbox Console bundle for $399. This includes the new Xbox 360 slim with a custom Halo finish, 2 controllers, a headset, and Halo Reach.
The third and most exciting Halo announcement was Reach’s upgraded forge feature and map “Forge World.” Forge world is one giant map, way bigger than any previous map made of of 5 main locations: a gulch (Blood Gulch from Halo:CE), and island, and interior Colosseum, a tall rock island, and a mountaintop. There’s really no way for me to put into words how awesome it is, just watch the video:
This Wednesday, the Xbox Live Arcade will be getting a new racing game called “Hydro Thunder Hurricane.” Check out the trailer for it. It looks like a lot of multilayer fun, and like an awesome racing game I that reminds me of my younger days. Hydro Thunder will throw you back 1200 Microsoft Points ($15 dollars).
In other video game news, long awaited “Starcraft II” will be coming out this Tuesday, July 27th.
